The Best Restaurants in New Orleans – MONTREALINABOX

Prior to the pandemic, the Eater 38 was an attempt to answer the question, “Can you recommend a restaurant?” It was a curated list covering the New Orleans area, spanning cuisines, neighborhoods, and price points. While the premise behind the list remains intact, the ongoing health crisis has shifted priorities for restaurants now tackling the extraordinary service and financial challenges created by the health crisis.

With these factors in mind, New Orleans has temporarily scaled back the list to the Eater 18. This carefully selected list, arranged geographically as always, showcases the spots that are making dining in the Crescent City special during this unique moment. Removal from the Eater 38 does not mean a restaurant isn’t still great and won’t return in the future, but allows for new additions, keeping it a fresh, inclusive, and representative list.

If you’re looking for the best new restaurants in New Orleans, turn to the Eater Heatmap.

NOTE: A number of New Orleans restaurants have resumed dine-in service. However, this should not be taken as endorsement for dining in, as there are still safety concerns….
